WSET Level 1 Award in Wines Schedule
Full course day from 9am-5pm which includes:
Six hours of instruction
1 hour break for lunch
45 minutes for assessment at the end of the course day

Total Curriculum Hours including 45 minute exam: 6.75 hours

WSET Level 1 Course Pricing
$425.00 this includes all fees including $100 non-refundable registration fee, workbook, gourmet lunch, all wine samples, experiments and supplies and the final exam. Upon a passing exam mark, students will receive a certificate and lapel pin.

Health and Safety Policy*

The health and safety of our students, ourselves, and our community are of the utmost importance. These courses will be presented in person with the exam at the end of the course day. Please note that gatherings of any size will pose a heightened risk of COVID-19 transmission, and that older adults and individuals with existing health conditions are at particularly serious risk if they contract COVID-19 and should not attend.

In light of the COVID-19 infection, the following policies are in place:
1. Students who feel ill or show symptoms of illness may not attend.
2. Any students who have been in contact with a person with a positive confirmed case of COVID-19 in the past 7 days may not attend any group sessions or the exam.
3. Any person who has contracted COVID-19 in the past 7 days may not attend any group sessions or the exam.
4. All attendees must wash their hands before and after the review session and exam and after breaks to ensure sanitary conditions.
5. Educators and exam assistants will utilize proper personal protective equipment as required at the time of the course.
6. Group session and exam attendees will be spaced appropriately according to state and local guidelines at the time of the course.
7. Additional preventative measures may be required and the above measured amended on the course date according to state and local official policies.

Refund and Cancellation Policies*

Students who cancel within 14 days of registration and at least 14 days prior to the start of the course will receive a full refund of payment minus a $100 non-refundable registration fee. Course transfers cannot be carried forward to a subsequent academic year. Course transfers of a confirmed booking either to another course or applicant can be made up to 14 days before the course start date on payment of a $100.00 administrative fee plus the cost of any additional study materials which may be applicable. Examination dates are connected to the course onto which you book. Transfer of an exam to an alternative date at least 14 days prior to the original examination will incur an administration fee of $100.00. All examination transfer requests less than 14 days before the examination will incur an administration and re-sit fee of $100. Students who have failed their previous WSET Level 1 Award in Wines exam may apply to re-sit the exam. The exam re-sit fee is $100 and students will have one year from the course start date to sit the exam. Release of Liability and Indemnification*

I have chosen to voluntarily participate in this Guided Tasting, and acknowledge that this document is a binding legal agreement that waives my legal rights.

I understand that the Program involves the tasting of wine. I am aware of the risks and hazards associated with or related to consuming alcohol. Furthermore, I am aware that the effects of alcohol can be severe, including impairment of my motor skills and judgment. I accept full responsibility in the event that my actions are affected by any alcohol I have chosen to consume.

In consideration of the Releasees allowing me to participate in the Program, I agree: (a) to freely accept and assume all risks, dangers and hazards arising out of, associated with or related to my participation; (b) to be solely responsible for any injury, loss or damage that I might sustain while participating; and (c) to forever release the Releasees from liability for any and all claims, actions and costs that might arise out of my participation, even though such risks, injuries, loss, damage, claims, demands, actions or costs may have been caused by the negligence of the Releasees.

I acknowledge that I have read the Program description, the conditions of my registration and participation, and this agreement in its entirety. I have executed this agreement voluntarily, and understand that this agreement is to be binding on myself, my heirs, executors, administrators and representatives.
